Sunday Worship Gathering 11 AM @ North Community Lutheran Church
114 Morse Road Columbus, OH 43214 (Map)
We're continuing in James this Sunday. Through James' teachings, we've seen and felt the call to believe the gospel AND respond in action. Are we serving God or are we trying to make God serve us? The Bible warns us against worldliness but what exactly is worldliness?
Gabe deGarmeaux will preach from James 4:1-12
Through the liturgy, we'll take a look at how God's approval is what should be most important in our lives. Jesus Christ's life is our perfect example of putting God's approval above man's approval.
Some songs we'll be singing are:
"Sing, sing, sing" - God DESERVES our worship, our words of worship and our hearts of worship. Just the fact that God acknowledges our worship is a blessing to us!
"Philippians 2 Song" - Based on Philippians 2:1-12, Jesus Christ humbled Himself to bring sinners to Himself. The only perfect man paid our price so that we could know God.
"Take the World but Give Me Jesus" - The title explains itself: what the world can give us is not even close to the amount of blessing that we receive through Jesus Christ
We are overwhelmed with joy that God has invited us into a familial relationship with Himself and with each other. Please join me in prayer as we ask God to bless our worship gathering for His glory so that His name would be known. See you on Sunday!
