We'll continue our look at the book of Ephesians. Jay with be preaching from Ephesians 1:11-14. We'll look at what it means to be a child of God and to have an inheritance through Christ Jesus.

Brothers and sisters, let's recall the saving work of Jesus Christ for us.

When we were children, we were enslaved to the elementary principles of the world. But God sent forth his Son, to redeem us who were under the law, so that we might receive adoption as sons.
In Christ Jesus we are all sons of God, through faith. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for we are all one in Christ Jesus.
Because we are sons, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, crying, “Abba! Father!” So we are no longer slaves, but sons, and if sons, then heirs through God.

From Galatians 3:26-4:7

As a family, let's sing and celebrate how God has brought us into His family through Jesus Christ. No matter our faults, God's accepts us all. Amen!

The Love of God - (Arrangement by Ascend the Hill) This hymn was written in 1917 by Frederick M. Lehman. The lyrics are based on the Jewish poem Haddamut, written in Aramaic in 1050 by Meir Ben Isaac Nehorai. The words speak of the depths and heights of God's love for us.

House of God, Forever - Words and music written by Jon Foreman in 2008. This song is adapted from Psalm 23. It's important for us to be creative and fresh in communicating the truths of scripture so that we see these eternal truths in new and fresh ways.

In Tenderness - Words and music written by Citizens in 2013. This is a new song for Scarlet City Church. This song celebrates, with exclamation, the saving work of God through Jesus Christ. We must remind ourselves and each other of the great lengths that God went to, through Jesus Christ, to bring us to Himself.

We will be praying together at 10am for the Worship Gathering and all are welcome to pray with us. We encourage everyone to be in the gym by 10:30 to receive the fullness of the gospel story. See you on Sunday!!!
